Community guidelines
Last updated October 25, 2026
GigHuntr works because customers can trust what they read and pros can trust the leads they pay for. These guidelines apply to profiles, requests, quotes, messages, reviews and everything else you share.
Be who you say you are
- Use your real name or your real business name, and your own photos and work samples.
- List only licenses, insurance and links that are accurate and yours.
- Ratings you import from other sites must be your own and current.
Requests and quotes
- Post real requests for work you intend to hire. No fishing for free advice or price surveys.
- Quote honestly. If the scope changes, use a price change request in the app, with the reason.
- Show up when you say you will, or reschedule in the app before the job.
Keep bookings in the app
- Do not ask to be paid outside the app for work found on GigHuntr. It removes the customer's payment protection and is a reportable offense.
- Never ask for gift cards, crypto, wire transfers or overpayments.
Reviews
- Review only work you hired and paid for in the app. Be specific and fair.
- Do not offer discounts, refunds or anything else in exchange for a review or for removing one.
- Pros can reply once, in public, and should stay professional.
Be respectful and fair
- No harassment, threats, hate or sexual content.
- Do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age or any other protected trait.
- Respect customers' homes and privacy. Use a customer's address only for the job you were hired for.
Reporting
Every profile, message and lead has Report and Block. Reports go privately to our team and the person is not told who reported them. You can also email safety@gighuntrapp.com. If anyone is in danger, call 911 first.
What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn you, limit features, hold a payment during a review, pause your account or close it. We keep a record of each decision and the reason.
These guidelines sit alongside our terms of service and privacy policy.
