Draft, under legal review
Terms of service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and XII Studios LLC (“GigHuntr”, “we”, “us”) for the GigHuntr app, this website and related services. Please read them, especially section 3 (pros are independent businesses) and section 14 (disputes).
1. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms and our privacy policy when you create an account or use GigHuntr. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you and ask you to accept the new version in the app.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Give accurate information and keep it current. One person or business per account, and you are responsible for activity on it.
3. GigHuntr is a marketplace
GigHuntr connects people who need work done with independent professionals. Pros are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We do not perform the services, supervise the work or guarantee results. Pros set their own prices, choose their jobs and control how they do the work. Customers decide whom to hire.
4. Verification has limits
Badges show what was checked and when. Some information, such as a license marked self-reported or Pending, has not been checked. Checks lower risk but never guarantee who someone is or how a job will go. Use your judgment.
5. Requests and quotes
A request goes to up to 5 matched pros. A quote is an offer from a pro. When a customer hires a pro, the booking is an agreement between the customer and the pro, on the terms shown in the app.
6. Payments and fees
When you book in the app, you pay GigHuntr, which holds the payment and releases it to the pro after you confirm the work is done, or automatically 72 hours after the pro marks it done if you do not respond. A service fee (currently 5% of the job, minimum $1.99) is shown before you pay. A price change needs your approval in the app. Tips go to the pro in full. Payments are processed by our payment processor under its own terms.
7. Cancellations, refunds and problems
Cancellations 24 hours or more before the job are refunded in full. Later cancellations may include a fee paid to the pro, currently 20% of the job price. If a pro cancels, you are refunded in full. You can report a problem before payment is released, and we will review it and decide how the held payment is handled.
8. Pros: lead credits and payouts
You choose which leads to quote, and each lead shows its credit cost first. Credits never expire. Credits are refunded if the customer cancels the request, or if it expires without the customer opening your quote. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. For booked jobs you are paid the job price minus the platform fee shown on the booking (currently 10%), plus tips in full. You are responsible for the licenses, insurance, permits and taxes your work requires.
9. Reviews and your content
Reviews must be honest and based on a real hire made in the app. Do not offer or accept anything for a review or its removal. You keep ownership of what you post and give us a license to host and show it to run GigHuntr. We may remove content that breaks these terms or our community guidelines.
10. Things you may not do
- Take payment outside the app for work found on GigHuntr to avoid fees or protection.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or defraud anyone.
- Post fake requests, quotes, profiles or reviews, or impersonate anyone.
- Scrape, reverse engineer or overload GigHuntr, or use it to break the law.
11. AI assistants and connectors
Pros may use an AI assistant through their own provider account. You are responsible for what you approve it to send, and for your agreement with that provider.
12. Suspension and ending your account
We may limit, pause or close accounts that break these terms, and hold payments during a review. You can delete your account in the app at any time. Completed bookings, amounts owed and these terms as they apply to past use survive.
13. Disclaimers and limits of liability
GigHuntr is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for the work pros perform or for the acts of users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable law.
14. Disputes
Draft for legal review. Before filing a claim, contact legal@gighuntrapp.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Final dispute resolution terms will be set out here after review by counsel. Until then, disputes are governed by section 15.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
